Election of Officers

Background:
Officers of the York County Federation of Democratic Women are elected every two years. In the past, we have limited voting to those members who were present at the election meeting (November meeting). Doing so limited the input of "all" members. It also meant if weather conditions caused some members to stay home, they wouldn't get a chance to vote for the Officers. If weather conditions cancelled the meeting, the election wouldn't occur as planned.

We believe the voices of every member should be heard and that every member should have the same opportunity to elect their leaders. In the spirit of fairness and accessibility, we are offering online voting for officers this year. You should receive an email with a "link" to the online ballot. You can use that link to cast your vote or simply Click Here.

How it works:
Only Full Members may vote in the Election Of Officers

Online voting will open at 12:01 am November 11, 2017 and will remain open until 11:59 pm November 17, 2017. Votes cast before or after the voting window will not be counted.

When you vote online, you will be required to input your name and email address as a way to validate your eligibility to vote. Once your ballot is submitted, your name and email address will be validated, then that information will be removed and only the actual vote will be recorded. The results will be available at our meeting on November 18, 2017.

Although your name and email will not be part of the voting record, it will be recorded separately to insure no one votes more than once. Only those Full Members who are present at the November meeting and did not vote online will be able to cast a ballot at that time.
